Don't know about you but 'ear plugs' come to mind if you are sharing a room in a hostel:D
As an answer to GreyQueen's comment re what to take to a hostel - I must admit I found that amusing - after the ongoing saga of Idiot Boy (aka her INCREDIBLY noisy neighbour that she has living right above her).:rotfl:
After him - I should think anything else constitutes "Peace Perfect Peace":rotfl:0 -

Dutch ovens are terrific. Westcoastscot - I'm the same. Stove is on 24/7 all year round and mine too sticks out 5-6". I have cooked on it with the doors open but yes its huge inside and goes back a long way, so not ideal. I got a big Cannon Calor gas cooker - great for power cuts.0

Apologies if this has been mentioned, but i have just purchased a pair of 90x90 curtains from Argos for £8.99! they are perhaps not in my favorite colour scheme but anything to keep the house toasty this forthcoming winter! i'll be using one at the front door and another on the hallway / lounge door. There are quite a few pairs in various sizes going on the clearance section!
Hmm, actually, now you've mentioned your lounge/hallway door .... maybe I could do with a couple of pairs, or three
I don't suppose at that price they are lined? Are they a heavy fabric (not bothered about pattern/colour .. that is what dye is for)?

Hi Toots,
Carex is pretty good - can often be found in Poundland or similar
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

You could always buy 90" length curtains, buy curtains or material from a charity shop in a co-ordinating colour, then edge them with this. And/Or....buy an extra pair from cs and use as lining.Normal people worry me.0
