Women statistically crash less because statistically, they drive less miles and for less hours.

Say Joe drives 40 hours per week. Roger drives 5 hours per week.

Who's statistically more likely to crash?

    !

Yes, and Roger would get cheaper car insurance, as the more mileage you do, the more expensive your insurance gets.

How do you know? Has the data been collected and analysed?

Did you read the reports I posted?
Most men should be happy to pay a bit more, after all, we get paid more so can afford it.

Post your salary George and your insurance premium.
I will happily compare it with mine.

My insurance premium was 0.176% of my annual salary?
    How about you?

Mine is 2.5%, but I'm a stay at home mum and only work two days a week. If you pro rata it out, it comes out as 1% (although if I use my "pre babies" salary it comes out as 0.769% ;)

Actually, thinking about it, my figures are completely wrong as I have joint insurance with my b/f and so he probably knocks up the premium!

    Not bad at all.

Going on from what I said earlier about a Quote on a Mazda RX-8, I have found Admiral (though the wonderous Confused.com) will offer me insurance on the car for £716, so I might just treat myself after all.

I will ring the AA and see if they will match it though. Incidentally does anyone kjnow if cancelling insurance with them will incur a fee and will I get refunded for any unused months I am yet to use.

It probably does say in the paperwork, but it's late and don't want to wake the house up looking for it!
