Any happy Renters or Landlords?

I think that is the key point about most things. Whatever percentage go wrong, a high number will post about it on the web, if things go right then most people may tell a friend but less likely to post online.dancingfairy wrote: »Of course there are happy renters and landlords out there - they're just not on here moaning about their problems
- you are only really picking up on the people that have got problems from either end either as a landlord or a tenant. Another problem is that there are no real requirements for someone to be a landlord or run a letting agency and the market is unregulated as far as I can tell.

One notable exception seems to be on the investment board where many people (myself included) would recommend a certain fund supermarket based in Bristol.
Personally I've had positive experiences as both LL and tenant. So much so we are buying a new BTL property and already have tenants lined up as soon as it completes.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
I've always had good experiences renting.

Mind you, I've always rented directly from a private landlord. All of my friends, colleagues and acquaintances who have rented through agencies have at least one horror story to tell.
It's much harder to find a decent property up for rent through a private landlord, but the extra time spent searching has always in my opinion been worth it.0
