Glad you are okay OP and that there was no repeat of the nasty morning encounter when you returned to your car last night. I expect she was sleeping off a bad hangover. Its hard not to react to someone mouthing off like that but better to just ignore their ranting and remain the bigger person.

I had an 'encounter' while parking near work one day, when someone was just outside their house 'creating', both at me and at the telephone engineers who were trying to do some repair work. I think illegal substances had been consumed, either that or there were some serious MH issues, because this person was telling the engineers they were lying about needing to put their ladder against the telegraph pole to repair the lines, because 'everyone knows the phone lines are all underground'!

Then this person started going on at me about social workers, who 'knew' what their daughter was up to when she was meant to be at school, and who 'knew' who she was with and what his game was, and clearly thought I'd come to visit about the DD, and if not why not ...

Anyway, I went in to work and phoned the police (non-emergency), and clearly the phone engineers had done the same because they couldn't get on with their work while this person was denying them access to the telegraph pole.

It left me a bit nervous, and even after several months I don't park outside that house, ever!

So the point of that little ramble was just to say it seems entirely rational to have been shaken by this! And worried about whether you'll run into her again. Hope you don't.

    Hi

I try to just ignore it and keep walking but by now I'm cross so I turn round and say 'you need a psychiatrist, not a social worker' and walk off.

    :rotfl:Thats a good comeback!
In march a woman who wasnt watching her kid cos she was on her mobile screamed right in my face calling me a fat b***h and a freak whose trying to touch up her kid (I'm female!) because he ran right to the edge of the kerb on a road with 4 lanes of traffic and I reached out to stop him, but he stopped right on the edge so I breathed a sigh of relief and withdrew my hand - did not touch him at any point. she was still on the phone when launching the tirade at me, saying I needed locking up and that I was fat and ugly, and wheres her kid the whole time? stood on the edge of the kerb staring at his "mum" like its not the first time he's witnessed her kicking off.
no one stopped to help despite around 20 people being around (v busy crossing right near the train station) and she just walked off leaving her kid to follow her - across the same road!

these kinds of people are everywhere, I was really shook up same as you but am glad you are ok x
