Shame.........I like troll baiting! :rotfl::rotfl:"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."

Well said Sugarhunny1! With you 100% there!0 -
If there weren't so many of lifes takers out there, then maybe the 'genuine' exchange or refund would be tolerated by these huge shops - so I can understand the attitude they have now. BUT what ever happened to 'the customer is always right'????
It's just a shame that the SA's (not all) aren't always polite - basically when I walk into a store for a refund Im not guilty of anything, so dont treat me like some of the other scum that abuse the system.
As an example, I was in Debenhams at the weekend and a guy walked up to the counter to exchange a coat that he was WEARING, as the lining had ripped. And guess what.............the SA changed it for a brand new one, after the customer had emptied his pockets. Some people have got some nerve.
Still I suppose it's a fact of life these days (and Im only 36) that people have no respect for each other - everyone is only out for what they can get !!!
In response to the OP, just try again and you might get a more receptive SA. Either that or get an older member of the community to return it for you - my Mum always seems to be trusted. Some days you're the bird......and some days you're the statue :cool:0 -
I bought two CDs from Asda online a couple of weeks before Christmas but when they arrived both cases were smashed. I emailed Asda online to request replacement cases but got no reply. As I could not find a telephone number for Asda online I rang my local Asda store for advice. The very helpful customer services lady informed me that it was not store policy to replace items bought online but as it was Christmas they would make an exception. I took both CDs into the store where they were replaced with brand new (more expensive) ones by another, very friendly and helpful customer services lady.
I'm one of the first people to have a go when I get poor service but I also give credit where it's due. Top marks to my local Asda store for service above and beyond the call of duty.
BTW - Still no reply from Asda online!0 -
I had a cd given to me for christmas but it might not be from Asda. I wont ever listen to it so would rather it be given back to the person that brought it for me so they can choose something themselves. It has a white plastic strip about 1.5 inches long on it is that some security code or will that tell the shop it was from them? as I'm sure the person who bought it wont have the reciept anymore.Thanx

Top marks to my local Asda. OH bought me a CD from there for Christmas but lost the receipt. It still had the security seal on and you could see a little bit of the green sticker which hadn't been fully removed. CS changed it no problem - she did say that they do usually need the receipt but since it had part of the sticker on she would change it anyway as she could see it was from there.
Thanks Asda :T:T:T:T0
