Well it is bank holiday so why not . Booking at the best of places have possible already gone (we have a welsh cottage/chalet and next years Aug bh has gone already) You have done the holiday Wales beaches and tourist lines along from Chester to Anglesey a great location and brill for the kids. Travelling down the welsh countryside can take 3 routes A49 A483 A487 If you havent been to Snowdonia get in the thick of it and visit Beddgelert or Betsw-y-coed. Llanberis if your taking the train up Snowdon. From there travel down towards New Quay (west wales) a more relaxed and laid back place to enjoy Wales. Depending what and where you can get and how long the options to travel back are Tenby area for B/holiday The Brecons for a walking/nature interest break or Cardiff and catch a gig or show around the city B/H can be livley as "they all come down from the hills " If you have somewhere in mind please post and we will give our opinions
I am also a fan of Monmoth and around chepstow/symmonds Yat area if your trying to get back over to Cambridge happy holidays:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0 -
Bear with me as I'm trying to remember a couple of years back but there is a visitor attraction not too far from Dolgellau. It's all to do with King Arthur, Merlin etc. I recall parking was free, had to buy tickets to go on a boat trip through caves whilst the story of King Arthur was told. I thought it was really good and my kids enjoyed it - boy 12 and madam 7. I'm sorry but I can't remember cost or the name of the place but I'm sure if you google it will come up. There were lovely shops there too, coffee shop, candle shop, arts and crafts etc, park for the kids. I'm sure that someone from that area will recall so hopefully they can come up with the name. Have a great time whatever you decide to do!Debt Free Date Target 31/12/2014
