You're welcome to visit...
and save me from my mother...
Baba ganoush made, garden furniture out, first lot of washing on the line. Need to decide what's next... I suppose I should try to make the spare room habitable for my mother... And then maybe she'll deal with the spider I squashed with a book last night
Problem is, I actually want everything to be cleaned thoroughly before being put back together
Oh well, might as well go and shove another load of laundry in, which will make a bit of space. Then I might go and sit in the garden for a bit.
I could send you my mother - she might make you appreciate you own a bit more!
Last week she asked if we'd booked a holiday! The answer was no because
DD1 is improving - but hasn't been out of York for 3+ years - need to move slowly on this one,
DS may have a car, but he is about to go on his own holiday and he is NOT a family taxi service! He is also looking for a permanent job...
We haven't had a holiday since 2005 - our fave haunts were the caravan sites on the Filey coast (Primrose Valley, Cayton Bay) - all have steep walks down to the beach - not suitable for DD1 atm.
We are struggling financially - as is the rest of the country.
And to add to all this OH plays cricket and won't take a weekend off!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Yes I could do with a holiday - and NO I won't get one...
But after nearly 6 years of this battle with ME - why does my mother STILL not get it?:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Gods, I am tired today - why does having one person to visit, and they're really here to see Mr LW not me in any case, really knock the stuffing out of me?? *shruggy smilie*
Anyways, Ted's been outside 3 times already, and I've removed two piles of poo from the back lawn (oh the joys):D, he's barked at the Postie, and is currently occupying the sofa (How is it that a small dog can take up an entire 3-seater sofa?):D

Because it is all in your head.. same as with the health 'professionals'.. you should know by now you are just a neurotic mother.
I have so much to do today and so little time and even less energy...
I keep looking at my immense list and sighing... but I haven't moved from the chair yet lol.
I'll FORCE myself to do an easy job.... trying on of winter coats...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

dreams of a store room:o
You're welcome to mine! When I moved in several years ago it was already full with stuff from various previous postholders. One of them is a friend and still works here (much better at the job than I am, too) and I just sqeezed my things in any gaps. As the school closes in less than 12 months I plan to make a start on the flinging now!
Re the kitten - I'm sure it either has a home or will do what Truffles did, which is to park itself outside its chosen new home and expect to be welcomed in.He looks so much better already for just having made the decision so we know it is the right one. We even have conversations and everything!
That's fab news! I'm so pleased for you both (and the boys). :T It really feels good to make the right decision.
I've finally caught up with the thread in my lunch break, but got to get back to it if I want to be done by 3pm. Jue - I'm sorry you didn't get the job. Will keep my fingers crossed for another opportunity soon. Also sending speedy healing thoughts to Triker's DD2.
Will be back later. x0 -
