    morning all
washing out, e bay sales posted and I plucked up the courage to ask a mum I know by sight (her son is a mate, but not a close friend, of DS, they were at scouts together and are at school together) what her ebay business is - she has LOADS of packages when I spot her in the PO.

Turns out she's a top rated business seller with a shop selling baby things!

    Who knew?

I now have her business card - and I won't have to pay delivery!

anyway sounds good Hex - quality of life is coming your way by the sound of it and am thinking about Juliejim

Hi guys, just a flying visit in, DD2 ok ish, long day and long op, removal of bunions....look away if squeamish now

She's had both feet done, bone removed from both, reshaped, stitched and other stuff that my fuzzy head can't remember, summat to do with one has a wire sticking out to hold the bone in place and plastered on both feet.
They gave her a epidural for the pain, amongst other things. She's in again tonight as we have to have different plaster put on both feet, pain team to assess and hopefully remove epidural, get seen at fracture clinic and then some physio.
Hubby has given me a few hours to sort out some bits and pieces. So I'll get on, thanks for all your thoughts ladies, it means a lot. x

Piggers I have another mobile number as work phone is off hun, I'll pm it you asap. x

Flying wise, I've shoved a wash load on..

Ok hun.. Glad the op went well and hope the pain reduces quickly for her.. it can't be pleasant at all :( Are they confident it won't need doing again?

I haven't told anyone yet but DH has resigned and will be spending the next six months working on the house, garden and some other projects. Scary in that it involves a 75% drop in income, but exciting that I will finally have a kitchen, and such a relief that he will stop all the travel, long days and overnight stays that have had such an impact on his stress levels this last year. Lots of disposing of assets (motorbike, cars!) to fund it but they are only things after all. We couldn't manage it last year when he lost his job, but now child maintenance has stopped as SS2 has left school and I have doubled my work hours so it is an option. Like I said, exciting times. He looks so much better already for just having made the decision so we know it is the right one. We even have conversations and everything!
All good wishes for your new life.
One of my neighbours took early retirement some years ago - His OH was still working I got chatting to her one day and she said she was looking forward to her own retirement date, but so glad that he had got out when he did as she believed he wouldn't still be around if he had had to carry on.

    Wow!!;):D

I'd come garden for you, but I think you're a bit far away for a day trip... That is absolutely brilliant news. I'm so pleased for you all!

ps the flying bit... I've hung out the washing. Still grey here, but a little bit of breeze so hopefully it will dry.

I'm shocked at how unfit I've got over the last hectic year at school. I've just made myself go for a 15 minute walk round the field, to try and get going. I'm going to do it every day.

  • Hello everyone,

Hex2 that sounds brilliant, best of luck
Triker hope she is not in too much pain

No flying done yet today, but day got off to a good start, as I managed to get up, showered, dressed, got kids dressed (as fairies for their nursery party) and breakfasted, made my lunch for work, made lots of sandwiches for nursery party, did dishes and left kitchen tidy, TD on, dropped kids off at nursery, put diesel in car and still got to work for 9.00am. I don't even get to work for 9.00am when I don't have to do all these things!

Triker that all sounds most unpleasant for the poor lass - lots of pain-free vibes and healing vibes on the way.
