Good luck for today JulieJim! Be yourself, and make sure you ask questions - of the 'what skills could I bring to this role/if you could wave a magic wand and have one thing happen as a result of this job what would it be' variety so you can ask them whatever has been said.

    Greenbee - thinking of you

Kazw - nasty, I am so glad I don't travel for work anymore, and in another few weeks DH won't be either.

Dancemum - this place is supposed to be good and cheap, not sure how far away you are from me so may be no use.

    Happy Birthday Boddy

    Have a lovely lunch Valli

I am off today, and sadly so is the electricity very shortly. Messes my plans to catch up on the washing and ironing somewhat and I think I will have stir crazy boys shortly. I need to do a Frog list as we have some major changes and downsizing to do. Exciting things afoot!

Juliejim Good luck for your interview

Hex2 Thanks for the suggestion. I'm near Nottingham. Problem is I have tonsilitis and still can't take them out. We are plans to go to Drayton Manor next week if I'm better.

:hello:Hi hex! Sounds like things are happening! I've obviously missed a lot recently. Is the lack of electricity through choice ie you're having something done? I need to do loads at home as the place has suffered through lack of attention for the last month or so of the school year, likewise the garden. I sorted the front garden yesterday (looks reasonably pretty still, and will look even better when the shorn geraniums grow back!) and need to spend the rest of the week on the back garden.

    :bdaycake:Happy birthday boddy!

    and juliejim...

    Hi Serena

Nothing to do with me - planned works 9am till 2pm, but it hasn't gone off yet.

Garden is a mess to be honest, I am too sore and he has no time.

I haven't told anyone yet but DH has resigned and will be spending the next six months working on the house, garden and some other projects. Scary in that it involves a 75% drop in income, but exciting that I will finally have a kitchen, and such a relief that he will stop all the travel, long days and overnight stays that have had such an impact on his stress levels this last year. Lots of disposing of assets (motorbike, cars!) to fund it but they are only things after all. We couldn't manage it last year when he lost his job, but now child maintenance has stopped as SS2 has left school and I have doubled my work hours so it is an option. Like I said, exciting times. He looks so much better already for just having made the decision so we know it is the right one. We even have conversations and everything!

I need to unpack the bags from the holiday :o and empty the DW. No point putting it back on yet. I can clean the bathroom wihtout electricity so best get on with that.

    Hello all.

    Hoppy Birdday Boddy :bdaycake:
Hex best of luck to you and DH for your revised lifestyle.:o

Terrier Ted arrived about half an hour ago; he couldn't wait to get in the house, his little tail was wagging, and he's made himself right at home.... he obviously remembers this hotel!:rotfl:Sadly he no longer has his toy flea, but he's brought some other toys with him, so we'll take those out in the garden and throw for him to run about for some exercise.

I'm advised to exercise him in the garden, as he gets so extremely stressed out if he sees another dog; has to wear a muzzle if there's any chance of that happening, so as the back garden has quite a big lawn and is all fenced in, that's a better option for him.:o

I've no idea how much more Flying will happen this week - or throughout August, come to that - but s0d it, the dogs come first!:p

Schedule is: Ted goes home (to his new house) on Sunday, and at the same time, I get Louie the Poodle. Louie goes on August 10th, I have a day on 11th with no dogs (so I'd better schedule colouring my hair that day:D) then Ted's back from 12th to 30th!:T
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
