I am on PAYG with Vodaphone, if I buy a Wifi enabled phone does that mean when I am in a Wifi zone or at home I can connect for free or does my provider still charge me for access?

when you are at home you can connect to your home wifi without additional charge (make sure data is switched off on the handset though), when you are out and about, it depends on your ISP, those with btinternet can go onto openzone and bt fon.0

Hi busiscoming2,
DUTR is absolutely right, if you connect via WiFi at home you will be using your own broadband and we will not charge anything.
The only time you would be charged for data is when you are using the mobile internet connection through Vodafone.
Kind regards,

Make you you actually connect to it though. The 1st time you do it you will have to enter your routers password.0

Its a free access. It is one of the best features of a wifi mobile phone, though some wifi connection have security password so you need to have those in order to connect. when you are inside a mall, some wifi access have no security password, so you can access the internet right a way.0
