Samsung B2100 Solid Extreme

Hi,
first I'm sorry if something similar has already been asked,

I bought a Samsung B2100 Solid Extreme off Amazon, did check reviews on other sites etc, checked if it would take a 3 sim which some sites said it would as originally it was released by 3?

Now I have a phone which was unlocked (and I've another person to unlock again) but not taking my 3 sim :(Can it be unlocked to 3?

Is it worth going to the local 3 store for unlocking, or have I just wasted money on something I can not use or return?

I am due a phone upgrade next month would they consider it that way?

Thank you in advance,

You aren't going to be able to use it on 3 as its a 2G phone.

You should be able to put the SIM in and it may work for a while (if you are in an area where they still have 2G backup) until they realise.
