Orange help with number porting

Hi
I'm hoping someone from orange will read this and reply as their telephone support are 2nd to none (at bad service)
and I emailed them a few days ago but still waiting for a reply.
I just got my dad a PAYG £60 deal where it tops up £10 every month for 6 months, I'm sure you saw the recent Argos deal.
I got told on the phone that porting his current number "could" cause problems with his future top-ups.
Personally I can't see a problem but this is orange!
Anyone know if it's possible bearing in mind he gets another 5 x £10 auto top-ups to his phone number as it is now and need to get it sorted ASAP as his current contract with O2 won't cancel until the numbers swapped

    Well technically it shouldn't. The topup are linked to the account number (which never changes) not the mobile number (which can).
