yeah and in the summer you could sell exotic desert ice creams too (thats is only if you would lease a shop as you will need chairs to sit on), I know its extending the product range but it could pottentially attract more business in as an ice desert parlour near me is always packed with custermers. Ok...maybe not exotic ice creambut certainly normall ice cream
any way good luck with the project0 -
o just read the post date lol0

I do like the idea... But we had one open up in our small touristy town of Knaresborough and it closed down again within a couple of months after always being deserted. I think these kinds of places need to be in large or trendy places. Also, they opened in winter! I would suggest a milkshake/smoothie place in summer that you can change to mainly a soup place in winter!0

I'd call in for a malenky moloko before a spot of ultraviolence.0

There's a milkshake shop in worcester, it's called Milk Shack. You can have any flavour milkshake you want, my favourite is chocolate cherry. I'm not sure whether it's still there but what a great idea! x0

so what we're really waiting for now is the kind of "what happened next" in the 18 months since the original discussion...

The shakes mentioned here seemed to be largely based on chocolate bars - yummy but not healthy. Perhaps you could consider shakes made with real strawberries, bananas etc - would have parent appeal especially if you offered smaller versions and kept the price right. You could still have the sinful ones.
I thought the soup idea is good, made with real veg?
Personally, if you kept them wholesome you shouldn't have to fear McDonalds!
Yes, just read op date!0 -
I suspect i can guess what happened, but it would be good to here from the o/p
Errr, that must be me then.
Decided that rent/rates etc were far too expensive to take a chance. Since then a smoothie bar has opened in the same street i would have chosen. never seems busy but run by two young lads so may be enough income for them.
I would have wanted to also stock a fast food item (probably pasta based) to hopefully bring in more customers.
I also found spread trading which is much more lucrative.....and the tax man can`t touch ya for it....:T0
