As I wrote in post #5 no they have not. It will be a long while before I think of giving them my money even with Faster Payments (if their systems work on the day).

  • There is also the LTSB Incentive Saver but you have to phone up and ask for that as it seems to be a "secret" account. This is also 3% AER.
It may require you to have another LTSB account to be eligible but I'm not sure I'm afraid.

I would not be surprised if Lloyds have not withdrawn this account now for new customers, as it was only available for a limited amount of time for existing vantage current account holders.

Have Tesco's resolved the recent problems they've been having with their banking operation?

It's working OK for me, but it's still not 100%

It`s pointless switching fron N rock for a worse paying account just for the sake of losing 2 days interest.

Request BACs on a Monday and it should be in your receiving account on Wednesday.

Get things into perspective, if you send £10k by BACs from N Rock, we`re talking about losing a massive £1-33.

Spot on. Added to that, any payments will have to arrive by the end of the next working day once the Payment Services Directive regulations are implemented by the end of this year.

Santander E Saver currently pays 2.75%AER including 1 year bonus (and monthly, which is a plus) Was until recently offering 3% but the new opener bonus slipped.

Uses faster payments in and out but only to £300* per santander account per day

*with two current accounts and esaver I have moved £900 out in a day

I can't get anything out of my Santander esaver. My online account was originally Alliance-Leicester but it now comes up as Santander when I have logged in with my original Alliance-Leicester log in details. I have one of their 3% esaver but cannot get out any money as they are not giving me the option to add a payee or anything despite there being a direct debit linked to my current account. Have sent them a three secure messages complaining but still not come back to me. What's the point of opening an account if you can't get your money out!!!

Will this also apply to Building Societies / Post Office etc.? I notice the P.O. have a good rate at the mo, but BACS out I believe.
  • [FONT=&quot]I am not too inclined towards an M&S. Not too sure about Tesco either. I would still vest my case with Lloyds Vantage, if told to choose one anyhow!
