Selling my car - Is this a scam?

So this bloke who was going to bring "dodgy" money to the sellers house has quickly changed his scam to a "dodgy" cheque or managed to pass the dodgy notes over the counter?
Or is it just a bloke trying to buy a car?0 -
So there's nothing at all suspicious about a bloke wanting to buy a car he's not seen and sticking £500 in someone's bank account who he's never met? Would you do it? He might well just be a bloke trying to buy a car and i hope he is but you must admit it seems unusual. You're my badger now Dave.0

They must be getting clever now though. Usually they offer more to sweeten the deal, they never offer less normally.0

Yeah, this does sound fishy. Even if you don't see the angel they are playing yet, be alert and make sure you check everything with the bank as they are in the best position to help you with the legalities of money transfers.
It's funny how we cant trust checks, banks transfers and even cash has become a problem. How to completely secure yourself from being a victim I don't know.0 -
Don't do it. If he wants to export it he should buy it normally, then export it himself later when his paid for it and it's all registered in his name.0
