TalkTalk additional charge.

I have package with TalkTalk for which I pay by allowing them direct access to my credit card. No paperwork etc. For this they charge me a 'Recurring Card Payment Fee' of £1.99 per month, roughly 8% of my total package cost. Is this fair? Card payment is as good as cash isn't it?

Paying be Direct Debit would incurr no fee. I cannot do Direct Debits because my income goes in at different times of the month, thereby risking bank charges.

If I pay by none fo the above, the charge is £4.50 plus £1.48 per paper print-out of my account.

TalkTalk reply to my query by sending an email from the Philipinnes and/or India quoting more or less what I have written above.
