It is the aerial lead from your tv - that you plug into your new card - the tv stays turned off.
Run the TV programme/application you have loaded on to your laptop or use MCE and check the channel strenght and tuning that way - as per the manual that came with the card. look for the Freeview pictures on your laptop with your card connected to the aerial......

Have a look here - read all the links http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/mediacenter/using/setup/addtuner.mspx
Look for TV tuners and remote controls at Windows Marketplace. You can also purchase a TV tuner and remote together.
Still have questions?
There are other ways that you can find the appropriate TV tuner and remote for your PC. You can:- Refer to the hardware documentation that came with your PC. Visit the hardware manufacturer’s Web site.
- Contact the hardware manufacturer directly.

One thing to remember with freeview cards... If you are using it on windows MCE then it has to have BDA drivers in order to function correctly. Not all freeview cards are MCE compatible..0

Stop buying stuff from e-bay....
Try this... This is the one I have and never had a problem... It comes with XP drivers but BDA (MCE) compatible drivers can be downloaded from website.. It is also compatible with different software not just the manufacturers and works in VISTA as well using Microsofts own drivers.

Okay, well I got an indoor aerial, and using the freeview card I bought a while back, providing I choose the analog option, I can get all the analog channels at reasonable quality. The problem is I media center won't detect it so I can't view it on there, and if I choose digital TV the program crashes.. I tried reinstalling and downloading from site but same problem.. Any advice?0
