Internet speed...Router problem?

Over the last couple of weeks I have been having regular problems with my wi-fi internet connection to my desktop PC which has either been dropping out or running at a snails pace. Because of my distance from the local exchange I don’t expect get blisteringly fast speeds – the best I can get is 2.5 Mbps, the average around…

yeah, gotta say from my own experience (when I had a line fault, I knew I had a line fault, and had been monitoring it with DMT and Routerstats - the first one they sent asked what they were, and he was supposed to be a broadband engineer) some of them are way better than others. but even the better ones can take a bit of prodding before seeing the blindingly obvious
