My daughter placed a pre order for a set of Dr Who figures , initially the wrong info was on the site re expected delivery , i logged on yesterday to see if there was any further info and its saying there are 4 of each in stock so i emailed asking where her order was , he replied saying they still werent in bloody stock ! ive since found out they arent expected in the shops untill 29th.
he took her £54 straight away but the customer service /inaccurate info has been a complete joke , we will never use them again .

To be fair, that isn't unusual for Doctor Who merchandise. Forbidden Planet will list items as being in stock but said items won't turn up until months afterwards.

Many figures seem to get delayed for no apparent reason and some sell out straight away. It was impossible to get hold of the 11 Doctors set before Christmas because they simply couldn't meet the demand for them.

I'd just cancel and go elsewhere - if its like this now I wouldnt be surprised if after the 29th they said "sent" but were still sat in the shop sounds like a right cowboy!

A quick search seems to suggest they are quite readily available elsewhere, including buy it now on ebay for about the same price from sellers with 100% feedback. As suggested it might be better to simply cancel.

i have cancelled the order and once the refund arrives ,will buy elsewhere. i cant see how they are available elsewhere when the makers [characteur options] are also saying pre order.

Hi Chrissy. Just to confirm that this is the actual set you are referring to. The link is to the Character Options official site (obtained via wiki).

no, sorry when i said "set" i meant 5 or so seperate figures, they are the new ones ie young amy/doc in stetson etc.
    Sorry for the confusion.

They don't have the newest wave in stock at the moment but I really recommend http://shop.scificollectorshop.co.uk/ in future.

They only have a small range compared to Forbidden Planet but unlike FP, you get your order within a couple of days of placing it and not so many months down the line that you've forgotten what you wanted by the time it arrives.

Just out of interest, why didn't you like SciFiCollector? I've found them to be one of the two* most helpful and friendly 'geek' shops I've ever used.

*The Monster Company is the other but that does more cult things than Doctor Who.
