TalkTalk Complete ***eholes!

So annoyed with TT with their Bullsh*t. Making false promises to keep contract.
My contract with TT was up and I was on a rolling month by month contract with them. I had a router bought by myself (Huwawei echolife e532?) with 4 LAN out puts so can connect 3 pcs and XBOX.
But recently it was playing up, so I rang up TT and asked what options I had if I wanted a router. The Indian call centre guys checked and told me if I agreed another 12 month contract with them I would get a free router. They also changed my package to essentials, which basically meant unlimited local and national landline calls, and broadband. ( I was on international free calls which was more expensive, but never used the international calls)

Great me thinks:D as that would save some money. However I went through all the router model details and asked what router they would provide. I was assured it would be exactly the same spec as the one I had, 4 port output, and also wireless option.

3 days later the router arrived! Guess what it was wrong. It had only one LAN output an was not what I expected. So I got the phone and after about 35 mins on the phone explaining to them it was not the right router for me. they agreed to send out another one. and they would also send out a returns bag so I can return the wrong router.

However two weeks went by and nothing, so I rang them up and was told they had put a stop on the router being sent out as I had not returned the other one..... i explained (through gritted teeth) that I could not return the wrong router as they had not sent out the returns bag yet. If they had it has not arrived. So this lady put me on hold again for ages and came back and said OK we will send out a returns bag for the wrong router and also send out another router. This time the correct one with 4 LAN out put.

So I said great, might finally get it sorted.
No such luck, this week the router arrived and the returns bag, however the router is wrong again. This time it has 2 LAN out puts. So i am quite pi**ed off now and phone them up again. After about another 45 mins on the phone and talking to 3 differrent people who don't have a clue what they talking about I am told this is the correct router for my essentials package.:mad::mad:

So I asked why i was told I would get a different router when i signed the 12 months contract?? they couldn't answer that. But now they have signed me up for 12 months contract with deceit and misleading info.

So !!!!ed off with them. Anyway enough of my rant. Guess will have to go out and buy another router with 4 ports.

Yeah I'm not surprised... and you know the sad thing is that a 4 port wireless adsl router can be had for peanuts these days...... litterally from £15 upwards depending on deals. However I'd pay £100 or more rather than deal with TalkTalk support for router help... in fact I'd rather have molten lead poured into my underpants but that's another story,.
