So much trouble with Computer. hardware pics

 I have been having so much trouble with my computer, in the last 5 months i have had to restore my PC about 5 times due to the hardware, i have no clue what the problem is, yesterday when i put the computer on it made weird noises after it said DELL when i turned it on, i got a black screen and it restarted, I have been having problems like 'Operating system not found', so i put the windows XP cd in and restored it and it was fine, then after using it for 3 hours I got a blue screen saying something like this

KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

STOP:0C0000007A (0XCO2017F8,0XC000009C,OX805FE744,0X07FBD860

Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete

Disable or remove any newley installed hardware or software

Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing

This was just some of what was written, last night when i fully restored it, i installed JAVA & Windows live messenger as well as Google & Yahoo toolbars, i know for a fact that something bad is going to happen again in a few hours time, Do i need a new hard drive? or should i just buy a new CPU? and if i need a new hard drive, how much roughly will i have to pay?

Also before all of this started happening yesterday, my computer was working extremely slowly, nothing would open, i would get to my desktop but if i clicked on my documents or internet explorer or anything at all, nothing would happen, i tried to save all of my documents onto my USB but i ended up losing everything cos nothing would open!!!
The computer is DELL Dimension XPS T600r

  • To check the HD out, find out the make of it, and go to the manufacturers site, and download their diagnostics to test it.

Are you running https://www.windowsupdate.com as soon as you reinstall?
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

Check and try to fix your hard drive and run checks on your memory (RAM)

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265
Manual steps to run Chkdsk from My Computer or Windows Explorer

1.Double-click My Computer, and then right-click the hard disk that you want to check.2.Click Properties, and then click Tools.3.Under Error-checking, click Check Now. A dialog box that shows the Check disk options is displayed, 4.Use one of the following procedures: •To run Chkdsk in read-only mode, click Start. •To repair errors without scanning the volume for bad sectors, select the Automatically fix file system errors check box, and then click Start. •To repair errors, locate bad sectors, and recover readable information, select the Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors check box, and then click Start. Note If one or more of the files on the hard disk are open, you will receive the following message: The disk check could not be performed because the disk check utility needs exclusive access to some Windows files on the disk. These files can be accessed by restarting Windows. Do you want to schedule the disk check to occur the next time you restart the computer?
Click Yes to schedule the disk check, and then restart your computer to start the disk check.
Reboot - you will see a blue screen and 1 of 5 processes running - let these finish - the pc will reboot - watch for error messages.

Memtest download here to test your memory http://hcidesign.com/memtest/download.html

    This is just a start

Hope you have a firewall ??

    0x0000007A: KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR
(Click to consult the online Win XP Resource Kit article, or see Windows 2000 Professional Resource Kit, p. 1553.)
A page of kernel data was not found in the pagefile and could not be read into memory. This might be due to incompatible disk or controller drivers, firmware, or hardware.

Connecting a Hard Disk Drive in Slave Only Mode Leads to System Halt During Resume From Standby {KB 330100} Win XP SP1 (Windows installed on a slave drive.)

Because of the above - a couple of questions ......
Are you fully turning your PC off (Start >> Turn Computer Off >> Turn Off ) - not just standby ? And turning the power/socket off ?

Have you fitted a new disk or different disk in the last year ? Or had had reason to take out the current disk ? Or Swap the cables over ?

    Cheers

So you have had problems since you bought it nearly ?

Well the stop error implies that the disk is jumpered wrong ( as slave drive) or on the wrong connector on the ribbon cable if it is jumpered CS ( cable select ) But then not sure how you are booting  - Your Bios may be set to boot from the second drive - are you up to looking inside the case etc ?

Do you know if there are 2 disks in your PC ?

I have looked inside the case but i have no clue what is what, there are ribbons, no disconnected wires or anything, the case of the CPU is open right now

I have a firewall but no antivirus software and my automatic updates are on
