Feeling a little bit disheartened :(

I think the problem is that you see the posts in I Won I Won I Won and it looks easy, but if we had an I Didn't Win thread can you imagine the number of posts?

Also, don't forget that unless you are entering by End Date, a lot of the comps that you have entered won't even have finished yet. If you're feeling disheartened, take a few days away from it and then come back refreshed.

I've been comping for a few months now, maybe even 4 or 5, and enter a fair amount of them. I don't enter every thing, only the ones I, my fiancee or daughter would want/need. I'm yet to win a single thing! Consider yourself lucky that you've won anything at all. It's all free to enter and any prize is better than no prize.

That being said, all you can do is enter and hope that you get something. Believe that something good will come your way and I'm sure it will. I know something good is coming my way at some point... :)

Ive been 'comping' about the same amount ov time as u. I work over 45 hours a week and spend the rest of my time being a mum of 3 teenagers, looking after the house and then comping ( OH gets miffed but hey! when I win big he'll be happy lol!). I havent had any big wins yet...like anything over £50 squids worth but I :ogot to take my kids to the cinema for free and won a rubiks cube that I love cus I had one when I was a lot younger and it brings back great memories XXXX and u never know wot postie may bring....Mine knows me well know lol

ive been comping now for 2yrs, doing 200-300 comps a day and still waiting the elusive "big" win but as the saying goes u gotta be in it to win it, when im feeling disheartened i look through the photos of what people have won and when your think these are real people like you and me it can happen it spurs me to keep on going, id won nothing for almost 4 months at the start of the year and only since may ive had small wins trickling in but a wins a win so chin up and keep at it.. somethimes you just gotta have the patience of a saint.:A

    Thanks for all your replies,

Don't get me wrong i actually REALLY enjoy comping, i think its fun so theres no way i'll give it up and i don't only enter the biggies i enter prob about 50+ a day from MSE and i also do the Facebook comps and some Twitter :)

Sorry about my moan just needed to vent a bit lol!

For me comping is my 'escape' as i have 2 daughters under the age of 2, which is knackering so as soon as they go to bed i'm on here lol! and have also just in the last few days trying to start up my own little business from home making my own personalized dummy clips to sell on :)

In fact while i'm on the subject does anybody know what the rules are if i was do a little comp of my own to say for example when i get 500 likes on my dummy clip facebook page will give away a free dummy clip? would i be allowed to advertise it on MSE?

Thanks for all your lovely replies :)

  • i feel the same too

ive been comping since mid feb and ive only really won little things usually toiletries of chocolate

i did win a camera a few weeks ago and that was a brilliant prize

but it still feels like the big prize is eluding me

i feel happy when i read people have won a big one on here but i will admit i do feel a bit jealous that its not me and it seems like it never will be

You would have to get another member to post it, you're not allowed to post your own comps. Good luck with the business :)
