fairfx card question

Hi

I have received my fairfx card today and have activated it and phoned up for my PIN

The website says said that if I want to change my PIN then I should go to any Mastercard ATM which I did, but it did not have an option to change it.

To see if the card was working I requested a balance and it printed out a receipt with 'invalad transaction selected'

can anyone point me in the direction of what I'm doing wrong?...I don't want any !!!! ups in Spain!...Cheers

Select the option "Card services" or similar. This then gives you the option to change the password.

I was able to change my PIN but I used a proper bank's ATM - one outside a branch - not a random one...not sure that makes a difference or not.
I was never able to check a balance - got an error that may have been the same you received.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    cheers ferf

I did the same today at a halifax branch and it worked.... the balance can't be checked at an ATM and this was verified by fairfx by email.

    They also sent this message

"Should you wish to check that your card is working, I recommend that you use your card in the UK at any merchant that accepts MasterCard to purchase an item of a nominal value."

I know that this is going to sound daft...:D.... but how can you use it over here if its in euros?
