  • Hi mtg, can't believe its been a week since i last posted.

Work is crazy and i'm just getting through it a day at a time, otherwise i think i might crack up.

Had a good week this week with surveys/quidco/ebay......
    Paid out-Ebay £19.50
    Spr!ngboard surveys £25
    Surv£yh£ad £15.69
    Youg*v £50
    Quidc* £15
    P!necone £4
    TOTAL £129.19 :j
Redeemed £15 from focusl!ne, takes around 4 weeks to payout and £25 from pur£prof!le again around 4 weeks to pay out.
Also recieved a big box of washing powder to test for survey and some shampoo.

Christmas shopping is plodding along, need to go through what i have bought the children and see what i still need to buy, think just stocking fillers needed now and hubbies present.

CHildren are starting to get really excited about christmas, they know there not getting loads as we are going on holiday, can't wait for us to break up and we can start christmas baking.

Hope everyone is ok and not too stressed at the minute.

  • Hi guys, Bit of a fluke that i got to cash out level with the survey sites at roughly the same time and before christmas.

Christmas baking will involve the usual mince pies, sticky toffee pud as no one eats christmas pud in our family so this has now become our christmas puddding, probably make a gingerbread house again with the children and also going to make handmade chocs and sweets with the kids, these will be presents off my two to family members, thinking off truffles, fudge, peppermint creams and coconut ice.

Have bought a couple more presents off ebay using some of my survey money and a present off amazon using vouchers i got from doing surveys, nearly got everything now.

Hope everyones having a chilled weekend, better go and put chicken in the oven for tea, byyyyyeee.

  • Good morning, we ended up having a late tea last night as i somehow forgot to switch the oven on to rst the chicken, how the heck i managed it i don't know, think i was doing too many things at once, just mean't everythng got done backwards, kids were showered and in pj's and then had tea:o.

Have done meter readings this morning for the week and i'm so cross with myself, because i've been busy doing a million and one things i've been lazy regarding the wood burner and have just been wacking the CH on and now we are paying for it literally, electric reading was £14.55 which is about right for us this time of year as lights are on more and as kids can't play out after school means tv's and wii are on, gas reading was £14.55 this week which is just ridiculous for 1 week, that would = nearly £60 in gas in a month:eek:, no no no target is £10 max a week for gas, so the challenge begins.

Also can't wait to break up as i'm going to set myself another challenge of not food shopping for 2 weeks, well except for the christmas bits i'm taking to MIL, need to get some wine/ beer, nice cheeses and a couple of other bits, also taking HM STP and mince pies, but for eating at home challenge is to try and buy nothing, have milk delivered and can make bread and kids always get lots of treats so will see how we get on.

Right better get ready for work, have a good day.

    Hi Pennywise

Wow your survey total is amazing, I've been slacking off big time with mine.

Your planned baking sounds lovely. I'm hoping to not spend too much money on groceries in January and just use up whats leftover from xmas.

    Have a lovely day xxx
  • Morning choo,hope your well.

Just writen out a long post and lost the blinking thing, so here is a shorter version.

    Work- pant, pants PAAAAAAANTS.

MOney- looking okish, spent £28 in lidl yeaterday, but need to go to T3sco today as the fruit that was left in Lidl didn't look too brilliant.

Life- feels ok, i'm trying really hard to leave work stress at work, which means me and hubby are getting along better as i'm not as stressed and snappy, kids are fantastic and are behaving very well as you know who is comng soon.

Need to pick up a parcel from sorting office today, no idea what it is.

Did a tot up last night of how much i have made over the year from surveys and ebay.

    Drum roll pleaaaaaaassssssssssssse...........................................

Quidco/ birthday money/ selling bits broken jewellery etc = £240.32
    Ebaying = £336.28
    Surveys £750.99:j
OMG thats a total of £1326.69:D:j:D:j:D:j
How fantastic is that, wonder if i can get it to £1500 by the end of this month.

Right off to get dressed and make packed lunches.

    Have a good day
  • WOW - EEE!!:j:j
That is one heck of a total Penny, do i feel a challenge coming on for 2012??

Have you managed to use some of it against the debts? I know you had the legoland trip and were there some other nice things too?

Fab fab fab, can feel another ebaying splurge coming on!

  • HI PWD, yes some has gone towards debts, rest has gone towards christmas, birthdays and fun stuff, like the idea of a challenge for 2012, how about make £2012 in 2012, might be a little ambitious but i'm up for having a go.

Went to sorting office after work parcel was a free coco pops cereal bowl, well at least DS was happy, got home to find postie had tried to deliver another parcel today, so another trip to sorting office tomorrow, good job its only a five minute walk from work.

Nipped into Tesc* and spent £14.27 on bits, really doing rubbish at the minute with grocery spends.

Have an item ending on ebay tomorrow with a bid of £40, hopefuly it will go for slightly more.

Right off to tidy kitchen and jump in the bath as i feel cold and tired, also need something to lift me out of the fog that i can feel descending, feeling down and negative, think its probably a combination of coming up to the anniversary of my dad passing away and feeling like i need a break from work.

    Bye.x.
