Not no chance, just as small a chance as you can manage!

lol - true - it drastically reduces the chances, but as Sir Terry Pratchett puts it - a million to one chance will happen nine times out of ten:p

Forgive me if I've got this wrong but you are feeding a stray cat thats attacked you and your animals ? Why are you feeding it? just ignore it and it will find somewhere else to hang about and leave you and your animals in peace..:)

I didn't know i was feeding him, i thought i was feeding the feral as i had been doing for 8 years. By the time i realised it was to late. You cannot just stop feeding an animal once you have started.

I have also just found out the hard way! I have a thread on this board.

I contacted the following (In my area!):-

    Cats protection
    RSPCA
    PDSA
    Bristol league for cats
    Many Tears
    Hollyhedge!

Plus so many others, There was only 2 on that list that gave me any help / advice & support. Like you The cats protection gave me a voucher, But that was about it!

I was very lucky that i managed to find a small rescue who was willing to take her. So she is now safe & well.
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy

Contacted every rescue centre within 25 miles, no help from anyone. He's still here, meanwhile the feral I've been feeding is nowhere to be seen. I'm heartbroken about him, as he's old and will most likely die in the winter. Although he was very much a feral and i could never get near him, i have a kennel with warm bedding for him and fed him twice a day. (Just had to stop writing and rescue my old cat . )
One of the cat rescue suggested that i find a farm and put (dump )him there, but i can't bring myself to do that. She reckons he would integrate with other cats and find his own food.

An update , I was attacked again on Sunday by the stray. Left my arm in a terrible state, so decided enough is enough. Before he seriously hurts me or my old cats he has to go. Tried al the cat rescue again, no joy. Went online to find farms and found one which i think might be ok, if they will have him. Emailed them and explained and they said bring him in and they will take him on and let him integrate with the other cats on the farm. I'm so delighted and grateful to them. We are taking him tomorrow.

Im a firm believer in getting cats spayed or nueterd as well as dogs. All the cats/dogs have been that ive had, it seems to settle them down.
Its made the cats less inclined to wonder and are more friendly, especially the boys.

All 6 of my cats (3 boys and 3 girls) are neutered - George, Fred and Chloe like to be taken out to the garden (Phoebe< Fiona and Fred do not like to be out at all).

Each time I take my 3 out - a black tom cat, unneutered 2 yo male beats the crap out of them.

He has owners but goes out quite a lot from a house few doors away and always comes to my (communal) garden and harrases my cats.

What I started doing is... take Zara (my GS) out when I see him in the garden - my dog would never hurt a cat (she lives with 6 cays) but the cat does not know it... so runs off

Met the owner today, told him what is happening - he said he had no idea, tottaly unaware of the need to neuter the cat... will see if somethng gets done.

Have taken the (now neutered ) stray to a farm. Hated doing this but had no choice, sick of being attacked by him.Had to attend the doctor and get a tetanus injection.he was very affectionate (The cat not the doctor lol )as well and maybe would have calmed down, but i was to frightened of him now. really hope he will be happy there, and i will get the feral coming back for food.
