with appealing as it was clearly going to make no difference!

Appealing does make a difference - it confirms your address, and gives them a phone number to keep bothering you on.

I told them that in that case they can not speak to me directly and told them that I am seeking professional advice and can they add their name to my account and from now on direct all calls to this 'professional' - they refused to do this as they will not speak to anyone else regarding this account.

    .
Yet another breach of their CCL!!!
  • As a company car adminstrator I have had dealings with these Roxburghe numpties, they even put in writing that as the registered keeper we were liable for the so called parking charge.

The BPA guidleines specifically say that they should not state this, so when I pointed this out and also stated that we weren't prepared to divulge the name of our employee I politely mentioned that if they contact us again making similar demands we were prepared to bring in plod and other agencies.

We got a swift reply from Roxburghe stating that they weren't dealing with the matter anymore and that they had referred it back to APCOA and of course we never heard anymore.

Contemptable pieces of s*** the lot if them.
  • hi just had my 1st letter from them, had a look if it was a normal standard letter but cannot find any links to have a look so i thought id put it on here to see what every thinks

    cheers for any posts

If you had checked the "stickies" at the top of this board you will have seen the "Private Parking Companies Letters: What to Expect" link. Once on that page you would have found numerous examples of letters from Roxburghe including those used when chasing debts for Excel. Click here to see.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
  • sorry ,should have said found links but they would not open

Do not ignore a private parking ticket - from 2013 onwards things changed in England/Wales. If yours is Parking Eye then they are suing people and so are some other PPCs INCLUDING EXCEL.

You must appeal and with current forum advice, you will win at POPLA - we win 100% of appeals in 2014.

Please click to page one of the forum, get off this old thread. See my signature below for where to click to read current advice. Please read the NEWBIES thread at the top of this very forum.

Did I say STOP reading this ancient thread, NOW??!!

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • it seems i need to keep this money for the parking notice and spend it on a computer:)

OH has had a 'fine' from these and is struggling to ignore them despite me showing her this forum and what to expect. Latest letter is 'intended court action'.

To put mind at ease, from the little I know of these companies, would I be right in saying that the signage in this car park would not comply anyway?

You probably will struggle to see the sign - it is on the wall above the rear windows of the red car. There are no other signs. Am i right in thinking that there at least has to be another on the entrance to the car park?

  • The signs that says "Private, Tenants only", would probably cover it.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
