still cant get multimedia audio controller to update guess this is why i have no sound?also why do my numbers on the right side of my keyboard not work? sorry if that sounds like an elementry problem?

In yoir boot CD have a look at the folders/directories.
Is there one call "Applications" or "Drivers". if not have a look on your C Drive - does that have these folders ?
If so browse thro the directories till you find audio folder etc ...Rich people save then spend.

had a look on boot cd nothink there also looked in c drive not there
one thing i did do was looked in control panel printers and devices add new hardware and a mesage came up with somethink or other and code 28 dont know what that is will have a quick look at full message

what is the exact model of your PC? Are you using a soundcard that came with it?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

hi albertross it is an advent t9101model and i have not modified it in anyway so i guess yes it has still got the original soundcard in it hope thios may have been of some help to the problem i am having with the sound as everythink is now working correctly thanks to all of you0
