Seems like a really good deal but I can't get through to the phonelines... most of the numbers are shut now and the freephone virgin one I held for 30 minutes before giving up (don't have hands free so its annoying to hold). Shame since I wanted to the Sim for my self and would have given my boyfriend the phone and got him a PAYG virgin sim since he doesn't use phones very often. ( was hoping for the nokia mind not the pink thing!). May order online anyway considering I was pay £30 a month for 200 minutes with orange :-o

The deal runs out on the 31st so maybe if you try tomorrow, you maybe able to get through!

This has been posted before and as i have been talking to them for like 2 hours for the last couple days as they messed me around and made me missout on the 30 quid moto pebl (which they are compensating me for) :D

Anyway this is for NTL but i assume its all the same now as i know the offer is but if you have all 3 srvices you get the free phone and so im told they dont have the pebl or the flip phone (lobster) so instead there giving the Nokia 6111 or some LG on which is colour screen so i would recomend as it looks better and has a camera.

Also dont know if it will be the same but my first month was 5 quid as i used the simcard they sent me which had 5 pound credit on which they deducted from my first month bill :D

BTW you can order online but you have to call them up to get the phone and they will ask for your virgin number which you dont have so no free phone so i advise by phone though virgin sales are shut so too late now :( ... but they open at 7:30 apparently

typical, I get the crappy nokia 1112. I was going to wait for the decent fones to come about as u can get your free phone anytime during the offer period but they assured me was the only one they was going to give out.
So a bit annoyed now. I didnt even know they still manufactered monochrome phones nowadays, but apparently there still is a market 4 it

    :(

Actually Im not a bit annoyed but a lot now
Someone mentioned u can have two contracts, so Im wondering whether to apply for a new contract, then get the decent fone, then cancel the other one. I dont mind if I have to return the 1112.

Don't spend five pounds to dry clean a shirt. Donate it to the charity shop instead. They'll clean it and put it on a hanger. Next morning buy it back for two pounds.
  • So, they have to do a credit check, even if you've been with Telewest for 4 years?

I've been on this for about 6 weeks now through NTL and its fab we recieved a flyer from NTL telling us about it. Was already an existing Virgin Mobile customer so they just switched my package on my phone.

I got the Nokia one as they didn't have the Lobster instock :-(

For £10 a month for 300 minutes and 300 texts its well worth it. This package is normally £20 a month!

You can track your account on the virgin website and see how many minutes/texts you have left etc so very user friendly - my only problems is I can't use it all up but its still cheaper for me to pay £10 a month!!

Here is the link for the offer on the vigin website -

i got free postage for wed!

Hi greetings and salutaions to you all.

Can anyone else confirm if they have had free delivery?

I phoned then up to complain that I was charged £2.99 for a delivery on Tuesday but someone I knew  was offered free delivery for the wednesday.

I was told that "whether the phone was delivered today or next month the delivery charge of £2.99 would apply".

I then asked if they could check witht he supervisor and he said, "I don't need to as this is policy and that one of my customers wanted the phone delivered for next Thursday and the system still charged them £2.99".

Is this their policy or am I being lied to - I'm getting conflicting information at the moment.

This is their policy I'm afraid. If someone got it free it was a fluke it stated in the offer flyer that you would pay £2.99 delivery.

    Sorry.

I signed up for a new contract earlier today, got thru straight away, got the LG (for those that are interested, its the LG 2100) phone. I will now be cancelling my other contract with them and keep this one.
If u ever decide to sell it (I wont be), easier to sell a colour/camera fone than a monochrome phone - one which cannot be unlocked

    Guys,
I managed to use the OP link right now and then redirected myself to the Virgin website.
I was still able to order the simcard without any problems and got a confirmation email.
Most probably the offer is still on through Virgin.

    Thanks to the original poster.
