Hiya guys....

Sorry, have no idea whatsoever if this has been listed here or anywhere else on the forum before but know the deal runs out tomorrow and thought it may help someone out here! Basically, if you are a Telewest customer and you have a pay as you go mobile that you spend alot of money on with top up cards etc, you could register for the Telewest/Virgin mobile deal whereas you can get 300 any network anytime minutes as well as 300 texts a month for £10 (which you must have coming from a bank account using Direct Debit)! You are not tied into any contract as you can cancel after a month and you have to keep your own mobile so you may need to get your phone unlocked for it to work. All they do is send you the sim card and you are ready to go! It only takes a few days for it to come though...I thought it was good as I was spending a small fortune on pay as you go top ups and this deal is better than contract and it's great that you can get rid of it after a month if you don't want it anymore! You can even keep your old mobile number too as you can sort this out when the sim card arrives! More details can be found here on the Telewest site....

I've gone for one for my son. Only worry with this is that presumably you are not limited to £10/month if it gets stolen or my son doesn't stop talking!

I am sure I read you can put a monthly limit on of £50, it comes with an automatic limit of £100 if I have read correctly. Just give them a call when you get the phone and they will change the limit for you.

Say your friend next door ordered over the phone and got a free phone so can i have one even though i ordered over the internet! the phones they have are the nokia 1112 and a LG, i took the LG as its got a camera and is worth more! if you want a better phone you can pay a bit more.

Oh yer they may ask you what services you have with ntl or telewest tell them you got the full works or you wont get the phone! (digi-tv, phone, net)

Excellent post OP. :T I've just taken out one for my wife.:D She's on Vodafone Pay as you talk and spends about £15 a month with vodafone in top ups.

I phoned telewest who put me through to Virgin (if you phone virgin you have to wait about 20 mins to get through!) - I gave my telewest account number and I can also confirm that at the moment they are giving away a LG B2100 phone (pretty Basic) with the deal but you have to pay £2.99 for delivery.

You can also "port" your exisitng number to the new sim and will need to get a PAK code from your existing network provider. (I will do this on Tuesday - the process will take about 5 days to go through)

Another point is you can take out two sims per household.

The sim and phone will be delivered on Tuesday.

Please also note that Virgin use T-mobiles network so in some places the coverage can be patchy.
