Best way re: Spending Money - Euros

Hi
Going to Gran Canaria on 1st August  and was wondering what the best thing to do about getting Euros is.
Options are:
Travellers Cheques
Cash
Keep it in my Nationwide Flexaccount (with Visa Debit card)
Pre-paid Euros card
Looking at about £1500 in total.
Just wondered what people's opinions where about best options both in terms of exchange rates, flexibility & usage charges.
Not been on holiday for 4 years so out of practice!!!
Thanks all.

From your choices and in terms of value.
Travelex Cash Passport Globe
Cash via Travel Money Max Not sure about running around with your holiday cash.
Nationwide BS
Travellers cheques.0 -
I also carry some cash, one VISA card and traveller's cheques though I've heard the Travelex now do the latter in card format - might be worth a look to see how this works and how many countries actually accept it? Also, I'd ask Nationwide what their % charge is for using your card abroad as I'd hate you to get a nasty shock!
Have a lovely time!0 -
Take some cash, maybe travellers cheques and a credit card. I was in Gran Canaria last March and don't recall seeing many cashpoints around.
From memory taxi fares are around 4Euros across the island this was fairly standard.
Have a lovely time - take a money belt with you and wear it under your clothing because sometimes folks are tempted (same as anywhere really)0 -

This is a money saving website.0 -
you're taking enough money to have enough of all the options available.
Cash - obviously you'll need to carry some cash, so a few hundred Euros
Travellers cheques - backup 'cash' nice and handy when you need to change some
Pre paid Euro card - eating out and shopping etc
Bank - when you run out of the rest or if you're near a bank and need a top up0 -
