Hi OP
I just wanted to point out that this isn't really a breach of contract case - they have effectively dismissed you, which they can do at any point in your first 12 months. The reason here would be redundancy, and they have to do nothing but let you know and serve you notice - which would be 0 days, all unpaid. Although I can't speak from a legal position, I am sure an employment lawyer would tell you that you would get absolutely nowhere in pursuing it.
Having a copy of it would also make no difference to you; it wouldn't affect the outcome in this situation.
Sorry again, this must be a horrible position to be in.

Ok thanks for all your time, wish i could say i know for next time but tbh it could quite easily happen again as it seems its a powerless position to be in, think next time maybe I will take my chances in just leaving the old job without notice probably cost me money but that way this can't happen again!0

In fairness, most employers don't tend to operate like this...you've just been very, very unlucky.

Last job was 6.50 an hour not great money for this one but will certainly have a look Ladymiss thanks!
Only 5 applicants so far I think - £6.30-£6.50 per hr - make sure you say you are available for a near to immediate start and its worth a look just for now as you are in a bad situation.
I believe that agency do all secuirty work too so you never know what else they may have going.
good luck0 -
A few years back they used to do this scam:that long, why not apply online, took me about 10 minutes to do my claim and a few days later had a call to confirm details and ive me the appointment time.1) You make a claim online - it tells you to expect a call in the next 3-5 days
2) You wait, you wait... you call them the next week asking whats going on. They claim to have called you but couldn't get through and they didn't send you a letter with an appointment instead
3) As you are on the phone you confirm everything there and then
4) At your NJI interview... you have to verbally confirm everything again(!!) and sign the statement
5) Oh dear, although made the claim online 2 weeks ago, they have stuck the claim start date as the day you called them to chase it up (although you were confirming details not making a new claim) - you are given the option whether to lose a week and get payment in a month or ask for it backdated and wait 6 weeks
Glad its not like that now. I think DWP got fined for doing that back in the day.0
