E2save Cashback Rejection 4th bill instead 3rd

Hi everyone Good evening,

I received a rejection letter from E2save today stating the wrong bill and now 60 days over so I cant claim again.
Actually I sent June 2011 bill instead of May bill, but still the May bill payment has been shown in the June bill which has been paid and every thing is up-to-date.
I checked TCs it is not mentioned the rejection on these basis. none of the mentioned rejection basis meet in my case.

Can any one give me a better suggestion how to tackle with this issue. I will be very thankful for that. awaiting for answer.

With Regards

If you have made the mistake then I do not think you have a leg to stand on.

Why is it now out of the 60 day window?

If you sent the June bill as soon as you had received it and it had been rejected then you would still have had time to reclaim with the May bill.

As mobilejunkie keeps repeating, ' don't enter cashback deals unless your 100% sure about what you are doing'.

I am afraid there's no leeway for lack of attention to detail !!

With every deal I have ever done I have sent off the claim the same day I received the relevant bill.

What you need to understand is that Cashback deals rely upon a number of customers failing to make successful claims, either by forgetting or failing to abide by the t&c that they signed up to.

All a cashback retailer really needs to know is that the customer has still got his contract in force for long enough for the cashback company to get their commission from the network. So, theoretically, any bill from a later month will confirm that the contract is still in force.

But, in order for sufficient customers to default on their claims, cashback companies put specific months in their t&c and then are able legitimately to refuse payment if customers don't comply.

Over the years, things have got better - now they can't cancel all furure claims if you miss one, the number of days in the claim window has doubled to 60 etc, but still people fail to read the t&c properly, being dazzled by the shiny phone and money coming back.

If you missed this claim window, then you have lost the cash. Don't make the same mistake with the next claim.

It's not uncommon for people to go into cashback deals without understanding BEFOREHAND exactly what they are doing. Sending the wrong bill because they don't fully understand the precise t&c is one of many basic mistakes. Not sending the bill as soon as you receive it is another. It's happened many times before and it will continue to happen when people don't follow the groundrules - starting with proper and substantial research.

In this instance E2Save have done absolutely nothing wrong; fortunately, this will be claim number one so the MAIN thing you can DO is to make certain you do the research you should have done beforehand - because you can still make all the subsequent claims even though you have (legitimately) waived goodbye to this one. In the good old days you'd have lost the lot - so count yourself lucky, put it down to your own mistake and don't make the same (or any other) mistake again! As always, I would suggest this as a starting point (though in this instance it is already too late to follow some of the groundrules):-

By the way; counting bill numbers is a very bad thing to do and I have been warning against it for years.

    I'm not really getting this??

If it's your 1st claim, why has a 4th months bill been sent in??
You need to send in your 6th month bill, counting the connection month as month 1.

When was this contract started khan??

Very good point; it's been a long time since you claimed in month 4 with this dealer - longer than would be possible with a current contract.

Sorry, Lynsey, you seem to have some inside info. Where does OP say it's 4th bill?

  • Thank you for all your comments, and sorry 4 being late this is my 2nd claim 1st was successful on feb: 2nd would be May.

I sent bill 10 days before but they didn't reply untill the 60 days period was expired.

I think this ground is not directly mentioned in Tcs, so I could go 4 legal actions, any suggestion most welcome.
Is there any one have the same experience? With Regards.
