Changing from one cashback deal to another on same network
Hello all,
I've looked around the forum and searched on the internet but i can't seem to get a straight answer for my question. Hopefully someone here can help.
So i am currently on cashback deal A and that is soon to run out in the next few weeks with T-mobile. I have looked around and found cashback deal B provided by Affordable Mobiles but it is also with T-mobile.
I want to keep my current number. So do i still need to port my number out (was thinking Tesco) and in again when i sign up for deal B, to work? or can I just ask them to upgrade me?(if that's even possible)
I try checking out on AffordableMobiles and it asks for my current mobile details with T-mobile for their credit check so I was wondering can they just upgrade me without having me to port out?
Thanks for any answers

How complicated. Why not change numbers? I've never ported because all my deals are cashback and I like to keep everything safe. I would imagine it's either port to another network and then back OR upgrade - which will be a different deal to the one you've seen. Either way, the two things you seem to be less concerned about - but should be - are:-
1) To avoid messing up your existing cashback claim (though not aware there is such a beast with T-Mobile) and
2) Assuming your cashback will be paid with one of the dodgiest dealers around. Get one thing wrong (or fail to cover yourself) from DAY ONE with Affordable Mobiles and you can kiss ALL your cashback goodbye. If you choose to use them make sure you have FULL PROOF of everything you agree to from the point of sale onwards and be be fully prepared to sue if required. Also be aware they are not as big an outfit as the obvious dealers - and if they happen to disappear during the contract you will also lose all unpaid cashbacks.0
