If you are getting married at the right time of year - and plan ahead - you could have flowering bulbs in pots as table decorations. Then take them home and plant them in the garden, and you will have an annual reminder on your wedding anniversary.

    And very moneysaving too.

Be careful of putting daffodils with other flowers. Their sap blocks the water holes on anything else in the same vase causing them to wilt and die really quickly.

I think a daffodil bouquet would be lovely though - I had tulips and irises for an end of April wedding...

Hi Smiler, our wedding was March 26th and I wanted spring flowers. I carried yellow tulips (with some diamantes interspersed) and my bridesmaids carried daffodils and tulips. The buttonholes were tulips and bear grass and the corsages were tulips with wax-flower. Our church flowers were a mixture of yellow and white carnations with daffodils and tulips and beargrass. To complete the theme we had daffodils in jam jars as part of the table centrepieces. There was also a bit of a daffodil theme with our invitatations and order of service too!
To be fair, they don't last very long and did wilt towards the end of the day (mainly the heat from my hands) but they will perk up if you leave them in water. My mum put my bouquet on my grandparents grave afterwards.
The problem that my florist had was making sure the daffodils were open at the right time...but I absolutely adored my flowers and my bridesmaids - they were perfect.
I had so many comments about how vibrant the flowers were and how they went well with our colour scheme (bridesmaids were in navy blue) so if you want to have them, go for it!

for table decorations you could consider planting tete a tete bulbs into a colourful pot (possibly bean tins covered in wrapping paper jackets with a floristry ribbon bow) arrange down the centre of the table and have your guests take them away as favours?

I'm planning on daff's as well, our wedding will be 1st April 2013, also Easter Monday. I'm using our own though in tubs, lining the aisle and framing the doorways. I'm having a bouquet of yellow roses though as I think it's a nicer shape and they will last ages!

The wedding is in April, I am just slightly concerned about how long the daffs will last. I want, 4 posies and a brides bouquet and buttonholes. Any ideas? I can't even find any pics online.

Daffs are in season in april. I would try G***le image and try putting in narcissus (the latin name for daffs) I don't what variety are available as cut flowers but a florists may be able to help. If you see a variety that you like daffs bulbs are available from september in some places late august plant them in september and they should flower next year, (I can't say exactly when it depended on the weather and conditions!)
