Going from contract to pay as you go

I keep going over my contract and my mum is probably going to cancel it (I can't help it I have to keep calling 0845 numbers, even my gp is 0845) so I'm going to have to go pay as you go. Thing is atm I get 600 mins, 500 texts and free calls to house phones on my current phone the latter being important, I call people a lot more than I text so are there any good pay as you go deals for that?

If not are there any contracts that are good for 0845 numbers? Do any house phones have inclusive 0845 packages?

Why don't you use Say no to 0870 and get landline numbers for the 0845 ones?

There is a site called SAYNOTO0870.COM. There they list alternative numbers to "08" numbers.

3 minds thinking alike. Sorry to be repetitive.

My gp won't be on there but it's good for other numbers problem is i had no internet for two weeks while moving and racked up costs calling plusnet to get my internet :/

Yeah tesco sim only looks good.

BT do a home phone free home phone calls and 0845s up to an hour for £4.70 a month free for the first three months I might get that as well as a pya as you go phone because calling mobiles isn't something i do loads.

    Thanks guys

Asda mobile is probably the best for PAYG. It's 6p per text and 10 per minute phone calls. That's 10p to any landline or other mobile network, depending on which 0845 number you're calling calls start from 10p.

As others have said try to look up the numbers. Also ask your gp if they can provide a normal number.

Finally tell your current provider why you are leaving ... maybe they can include the 08 numbers for you. (e.g. I think Vodafone will include them for £3/month)
