We asked for an extra towel 3 times. We were promised one twice, but it never arrived. The 3rd time we were refused - it was then they told us about the new policy.
4 towels were provided in the room - 2 bath ones; 1 face (or hand) towel; 1 thicker towel to stand on. No face cloths or flannels.
I don't mind sharing a hand towel. But I would no more share a face towel than a handkerchief, comb or toothbrush. Hygiene reasons. No matter how near or dear.
Just posted this to inform others - for those who aren't bothered, neither am I.
I have never stayed somewhere and been provided with a face cloth and am surprised that you expect them to be provided.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I stayed in a hotel last year, forget which one, and was impressed to find they left flanels. We had our own as we've never had them provided before. I'm easily impressed when hotels leave little extras like flanels or a tiny highland shortbread or 1 chocolate. It can't cost them much but I feel pampered!!0

I would do the same, I think we are just greener than average
Me too. Always find far too many towels and don't need half of them. It really annoys me when a towel that is used only once is changed.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
