Holiday Inn? Take face towels

Word of advice to those staying at a Holiday Inn.
They have a new towels policy which means 2 bath towels in a double or twin room - but only one face towel. Only other towel we had was one to stand on by the bath/shower. (Sorry, I don't know what they do for family rooms).
I don't have an issue with this - except they should let people know before you arrive. Can't remember last time a hotel or B&B put out 1 face towel only.
So, pack an extra face towel if you don't want to share.

I call them hand towels and the tiny squares are face flannels or face cloths.
I once stayed in an Ibis hotel:p and they only provide bath towels, no hand towels............1 towel per person.;)
I prefer Premier Inn hotels and they provide bath towels and hand towels........1 of each per person.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the 'I wanna' and 'In my home' and Health & Beauty'' boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I work for a large budget hotel chain and sometimes the housekeeping forget to put the extra towels in. We don't put two sets in for one person to save on linen costs.
I'm sure if you asked they could of given you another set?0 -
What do you need 2 hand towels for?one of the famous 50

I dont think it is a "let you know what is included before you arrive" scenario, any more than whether they should let you know they only provide three sorts of teabags,, or decaff coffee in the room automatically. If you need more, you can ring housekeeping, and you will receive, if there are not enough. Been in hotel sales for years and years, and I promise you no one has ever asked about towels on their booking call..0

what's wrong with sharing?

In my bathroom we have one hand towel & 2 bath towels. I wouldn't think it odd if a hotel I stayed in did the same....COMP WINS FOR HUBBY & I SINCE SEPTEMBER:2 £50 DOMINOS VOUCHERS, 13 PAIRS OF FOOTBALL TICKETS, MICROSOFT HOME EDTN, 2 PAIRS OF ALTON TOWERS TICKETS, 1 CASE OF PERCY PIGS, 1 PAIR OF LEATHER LADIES GLOVES, 4 COLLECTION 2000 PRODUCTS, PLAYSTATION 3 WITH FIFA 12, 5* HOTEL STAY IN LONDON, SEASON 6 OF SUPERNATURAL DVD, PERFECT PIZZA VOUCHER0

yeh. stop being greedy wanting more towels - face or hand - that are necessary.one of the famous 50 -
We asked for an extra towel 3 times. We were promised one twice, but it never arrived. The 3rd time we were refused - it was then they told us about the new policy.
4 towels were provided in the room - 2 bath ones; 1 face (or hand) towel; 1 thicker towel to stand on. No face cloths or flannels.
I don't mind sharing a hand towel. But I would no more share a face towel than a handkerchief, comb or toothbrush. Hygiene reasons. No matter how near or dear.
Just posted this to inform others - for those who aren't bothered, neither am I.0
