The HJT log looks okay - but I will leave the final analysis to Browntoa. Do your kids have their own accounts and set as non administrator accounts. There may be a need to run something logged in with these accounts.
Ideally they will have non admin account to lessen any "damage" done by their downloads.

But

your firewall is running but worth checking for antivirus updates as he says

The kids have their own accounts on msn etc, but not on the XP startup screen, if that's the accounts you are referring to?

I would delete Nortons from add/remove programs (after downloading the below, then disconnecting from broadband while you install Kerio, then reconnect while you install AVG or Avast so they can update the virus definitions as they install)

replace with these free versions with free updates

either AVG antivirus

which says 30 day timelimited but this is just some extra features that you will never use , it will remain a fully functioning firewall

Start >> Settings>> Control Panel >> (in trad view) User Accounts - then select non admin type accounts for the kids. No need - The Update will change these. have a look on the update site for what java does - games, open office etc..

See Browntoa reply for variations - but there has been mention on here, that if you uninstall and re-install Norton with the same numbers it will give you another years sub - I would never recommend that :rolleyes: and cannot confirm if it does work.
