Hi
As the title says - I'm getting really streesed with CCCS.
We've been on a DMP with them for over 18months now and every month they write to me or email to tell me my payment is late!
They tell me I should be paying beofre the 6th of the month but I don't get paid until the 15th of the month and the money leavers my account then.
Last month, they told me, after I'd paid my money that my account with them was now closed as I 'keep paying late' I explained tot eh adviosr the issues and that he could see on my account that I never miss a paymnet just that their system shows it coiming in late. He told me to carry on as I have been doing and it should all work out fine.
Just recieved an email now telling me my account is now closed as I've not paid - again money left my account this month as per normal!! I could have really done without paying the DMP payment this month as I've only got £100 left for a whole month, needing to feed a family of four and petrol!! (No idea how I'm going to manage iot but anyway!!)
What can I do to solve the issue? Do I close the DMP with CCCS, try to set one up with someone esle, or go it alone again? I've only about another year before I'm unsecured debt free!!!!
Secured debt is another issue!!
We've got a charging order against the house for £15000 now. We live in a small 2 bed terrace and have now grown out of the house - DS is nearly 8 and DD has just turned 6 and they really could do with their own rooms - if we could get another mortagage and sell this place - would the charging order come with or would they want their money back there and then or could it be transferred to the new property?!
Thanks for reading!
Gert xx

Hi
I can't help re the house and charging order but was interested re the CCCS part.
Surely if you are living to your budget it wouldn't have affected you to have their SO set up to leave your account on 1st of each month even though you get paid on the 15th? Because you wouldn't be spending that money as you have the budget? Technically speaking, it shouldn't matter when a committed payment comes out of your account as you have budgeted for it and thus know that money is not yours to touch. I know in reality it's hard to resist, but resist you must. The trouble is, if you were to change it now, you'd end up owing two months in one if you see what I mean?
Also, regarding only having £100 left for the whole month, how has this happened? Is your budget no longer working for you? Have you not reviewed it with CCCS? You don't need to wait for their review - I've changed mine voluntarily with them a few times and they are fine - I prefer to be proactive with them!
Good luck

TBH although I've got the budget set up - it never seems to work monthly!! They don't like the fact that I smoke and so only have that marked down as £75 when in reality its more than double that - we are trying really hard to stop btw!! Shopping budget never really seems to work out either! I do try and keep to the budget but never works!!
This month, the kids have needed new clothes as their clothes were too small - we've had three big birthdays this month etc etc
I think the main problem is that OH doesn't really understand that although he gets paid into his acoount - not all that money is his!! haha! I pay the bilss and he pays mortagage and petrol but he's short this month also!
He gets paid 4 weekly which is really hard trying to sort out how much and when he puts money into the pot so to speak.
I didn't really think about paying the money to CCCS like that - I 've got it in my mind set that it has to go out on or near my payday otherwise it doesn't go out!!Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:0 -
Smoking is a luxury not an essential.
Why can't the CCCS change the payment date for you?Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
Not totally sure on the charging order but I think the money will come out of the sale of your house and won't come with you as long as you pay it from the proceeds of the sale of your current house.
I'm with CCCS and pay them on the 10th of the month and never had a problem with that for 3 years. Suggestion about putting the money aside and paying on 1st month is a good one - either that or give Payplan a call and see what they say?Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

Like Deep In Debt, I get paid before my CCCS money is due. I get paid on 15th of month but CCCS monies not due until 1st of folowing month.
So, I have a dedicated savings account into which I "ringfence" my CCCS money immediately when I get paid and then pop in back into my current account just before the DD is due...it works for me
Have now set up nine savings accounts so I can "piggybank" for various bills, etc...may even need one or two more!

I assume the problem is though if for example she pays the cccs on the 15th August when the wages go in... she hasnt then got enough money left to set asside for the next months payment which is due on the 10th Sept.
We have 2 basic bank accounts with the Coop and i transfer so much each week so that by the time we pay on the 10th all the money is there ... the money in that account doesnt then get used for anything else (well except this month but thats circumstances out my control) and we never use the debit card that goes with it.0
