is this post about my post? i praised the rspca i did not say that they made me feel patronised, i was talking about another local sanctuary.
if you are not talking about my post then my apologies but i cannot think of what else you're referring to?0 -

staffies are an unwanted breed. there are tens of thousands of them and no one who wants them = unwanted breed.scheming_gypsy wrote: »You should be put to sleep for deciding that it's only chavs who put dogs in kennels and that staffies are an unwanted breed.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I don't want to state the obvious...but I will.
the first thing any animal/charity/vet would do with a cat (or dog) found dead or alive is to check it for a microchip. If yours was chipped, then it would be scanned and returned to you if found.

I'm afraid I disagree with this - yes most vets would check and probably most charities but most council wardens (or whoever does this on behalf of them) ... don't.
I know vets who don't scan cats, I've heard one who said (along the lines of) "oh, I don't bother, no one round here's going to spend £25 getting a cat chipped".Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

if they were 'unwanted' then nobody would want them, seeing as people clearly do want them but there are too many being bred.... my tomarto is clearly right

As said above, Staffies are not an unwanted breed. They are a very overbred breed.
I they were unwanted then they would never be rehomed, and many are, just not all of them.0 -

The 'Undercover Boss' program picked up on the fact that since pitbulls were made illegal, the 'hard men' who used to have Pittbulls as a status symbol picked up on Staffies as they look relatively hard.0
