Hi everyone,
Just tried to withdraw some cash on my Barclaycard and was informed that Barclaycard no longer allow cash advances on credit cards, has anyone else had this problem ??
Any info would be greatly appreicated

Don't do it anyway. The interest rate is so high!
Taking cash on a credit card has to be a last resort..Amazon sellers club - member number 63.

I understand that some people have received a letter from BC advising of this. However I have not as yet received one. I would never withdraw cash from a credit card but that said it is a useful facility if you get stuck.0 -
I haven't received the letter yet...01. Marriott Rewards VISA (£2700 @ 17.9%)
02. HSBC MasterCard (£2250 @ 14.9%)
03. HALIFAX One MasterCard (£2200 @ 12.9%)
04. Monument VISA (£1000 @ 19.9%)
05. Aqua MasterCard (£500 @ 29.9%)0 -

I have not received anything from BC to indicate that you are unable take cash advances on their cards. However I have called them on a free phone no. and they said they no longer allow cash advances.0

I think it depends on their assesment of how each individual runs their account.0

Hubby has had a letter stating that a) his credit limit is being reduced as they are now 'responsible lenders' and b) the facility to withdraw cash in the UK has been withdrawn BUT
he can withdraw cash abroad!2014 Target;
To overpay CC by £1,000.
