I've been using Egg money manager since the day it started and I have never had any problems with security and even if they could see my other accounts I don't really care...

I think it is a great system,

If you like it using Egg's Money Manager, First Direct use the same software but display the information in a more user friendly way (IMHO), and only update the remote accounts when you want (not automatically at log in). You don't need to be an FD customer to use it.

When I registered I said that I would add details of my accounts later....didn't like the idea of giving out my password on the other accounts.

So as yet I haven't got any accounts on my money manager so if I get the £10 all well and good (and egg are none the wiser about my other financial affairs) but if I don't they still don't know about my financial affairs and I'm no worse off.

Egg cannot see any of your non Egg accounts on Egg Money Manager. The passwords are stored on the users PC.

I never said they could but you explicitly allow them access to the information you send to the managed accounts.

I'm certain the only reason they offer the software to customers is so they can gain access to the transactions you are making.

I do not want to give them that info. I understand that I could use a redundant account I'd rather not have the hassle of trying to remove the software after I got the £10.
