but surely it will only be how are they doing and have they turned up etc? I do not know any company who would speak to a 3rd party
yes thats all the provider might ask them but the employer could still give the response i mentioned. what if you were struggling with aspects of a job and the employer told them that? if the job ended before the end of the 2 years you could find yourself getting sanctioned for having a bad attitude. not achieving in a job could be interpreted as having a bad attitude by an unscrupulous adviser.

How would you get sanctioned for the job ending? what if you are then made redundant? Has anyone asked that?

ok, i will give an extreme example to show the logic behind my thinking. if while in a job you mess about and skive etc and then the job ends you will go straight back onto the work programme. if they know how you behaved they may sanction you for it. now an unscrupulous adviser could well choose to interpret lack of achievement while in a job as a bad attitude and refer you for sanction. lets face it they are likely to be peeved because you will have done them out of a bonus. so the last thing anyone wants is their employer to say anything negative about them because they may have to face consequences when they return to the provider.
of course i dont know this as fact but i have experienced unscrupulous advisers in the past.

i dont think donna was actually refering to you, i thnk she was talking about people in general, ive worked with people who consistently turned up late, put a below par performance in and went at home time meaning everyone else had to work much harder to get things done.

I know she wasn't talking direct about me but are the providers to think we are all the same? Serial unemployed? Can't hold a job down? etc

no idea but surely they can gauge an impression(when they meet us) on how we are doing in terms of loloking for a job eg doing more than the 3 searches a week, have we turned up late for the appointment with the advisor, have we ever missed an appointment.
