If you're using XP and Intenet Explorer, the free antivirus's are not worth a hoot if it's a normal punter.
If you doubt this, download Combofix and TDSS and run them..

Kaspersky free scanner works well if you think you're infected. I use AVG free, seems to do the trick.0
