I had trouble finding them as well, did an internet search and came up with the web site, they do a subscription, you get the 2nd issue for free plus other free gifts! I plan on getting the first couple with the freebies and get the ideas and tips that come with them then cancel. Anybody that wants to do the same and has had trouble finding the magazine in the shops you can find the subscription details here The Art Of Knittingcharlotte664 wrote:I can't find one either! Eldest DD wants to learn to knit and 99p is a good buy for the first set (I *may* let her buy the second as well if the first one doesn;t have the ourl stitch!)
I cannot knit very well, so it will be a good thing to teach her and she has saved her own money to buy it. We have had the caht about the entrie series being a waste of money!
But we cannot find one anywhere!NSD Challenge 2010:Jul 12/12

Well, I did the direct debit thing and recieved the pack and free gifts this morning.
I know its only 99p for the first pack, but the free needles case was missing and the wool bag fell apart when I opened it - after wood splintering everywhere.
Not impressed with the quality and although I had no intention of continuing past the 3rd delivery (DD gave me her pocket money to buy it!) I don't even want the second delivery now! Will have to issue her a refund I think!0 -
Mine arrived this morning - looks good so far, I have issue 1 and 2. I'm hopeful I'll finally be able to learn - we'll see
Need to cancel the direct debit now.Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Got mine this morning too. I knew I wanted the first four, which is why I signed up.... Just FYI, they have a 28 day notification period for cancelling.
Even if it was 99p, you should call them up and let them know it wasn't good enough. Particularly if you're on DD and they think you're staying on, I'm sure they'll send another. Then you can use the extra wool!
ETA: Was the free needles case meant to come with the first delivery? I didn't get one either!0 -
I think the first couple of magazines in this series will be a good buy but if you carry on collecting the magazines until the end then it won't work out such good value for money.
A few years ago I was collecting a gardening magazine. I know very little about plants and gardening and must admit that this collection didn't help me at all! I got to the point where I wanted to cancel (I had already got about two binders full). I thought that if there were only a couple more magazines left to collect I would just continue until the end so I rang up the publishers and asked what number they went up to. I was amazed! There was about 30 more at £1.99 each! I realised that if I carried on I would have paid another £60! What a rip off! I cancelled my subscription straight away!0
