Hi all
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO Mst Jools and Miss Molly
Am so chuffed one of my friends who is moving away has given me 2 bin bags full of clothes she's chucking out, have been through them and they're lovely, have given some that will be a bit small to my neighbour. Have also acquired a wardrobe, just waiting for my neighbour to pop round to get it upstairs. Will buy her a nice bottle of wine on Friday when I get paid to say thankyou. Things like that really make my day.

Afternoon all,
Not quite as cool to-day here as it was yesterday, went to send the box that DD3 couldn't take in her 20kg suitcase when she went to Oz....clear directions, found the place and it was €230....its only clothes and shoes, 10kg weight, so OH and I decided that it was too much and took the box home again...rang her when I got back and she says "that's about what I thought it would be", so we have another trip before the weekend....she can't even remember what is in the box....doesn't seem as if my MS ways have rubbed off on her!
Going out for an early dinner with cousin, would rather stay at home, but know that she is lonely...drives people nuts moaning about her sad life...I just tell her to shut up and live her life (subtle is my middle name!) and she seems not to find that offensive even if she doesn't do anything about making her life better. Have cooked OH some of the steak I bought on offer yesterday, rest is in freezer.....12 portions for €21 is very reasonable for steak here so am pleased...will buy more next week if I still have money left from grocer challenge as steak is always handy for OH, I am quite happy to have something from freezer while he is not.
OH is finally cutting up the smaller branches of the trees we cut earlier, so we will have lots of timber for winter....think that I will light all 3 downstairs fires to save on oil, can't afford to buy any yet but am sure it will be horrendous again.....€800 for my last fill and we usually have 3 a year....that's the worst of living in an old house open to the winds!
Two machine loads of washing on line, will take them in to-night as I think that they are dry.
I know that there was a newbie somewhere....welcome, I am too old to remember names until I have seen them a hundred times so keep posting!
Hugs to all in need or want of one, congratulations to those who are celebrating, stay safe and well.

Hi all. Last day of holiday today and sitting here NOT diving. My ear has rebelled. Back to being OS tomorrow - DH nearly confiscated my notebook yesterday as I had started to 'make lists':D We were on a long care journey and he was talking to the driver so I wasn't exactly neglecting him.
Went out for an amazing dinner when we got home. Cheap and delicious local produce. We're going back for a farewell dinner tonight after the dual trauma of packing and paying:eek:
So I will be back with you all on Friday morning.

Evening All,
Happy birthday to "our" girls, hope they've had lovely days. Took SIL and the children to the airport tonight, sad to see them go, its been a lovely visit. Off work tomorrow and Friday so lots of catching up in the house needed.
BIL had his first dose of chemo today, it went well and he walked the dog when he came home - the first time I think he's done it since he took really ill. He has been exhausted but he's looking a bit better, all the wedding talk is definitely perking him up! Had to laugh at the songs some people gave my sister for her background music at the register office - Band of Gold by Freda Payne and a song called Please Stay, can't remember the group, but its an oldie - both fantastic songs - ABOUT BROKEN HEARTS :rotfl: I told her I would be sabotaging the CD, and she had better tell them to think of something else lol!
Have a nice evening, welcome to the newbies.

Evening all
Very late one from me.
Welcome Fizzbitz, happy birthday miss molly
Feeling much better today, still dizzy spells but no headaches. Work flew by.
Met girls after work for dinner, went to Chiquitos, nice food. However my best friend told us that her mum has colon cancershe had op on Fri and will need a colostomy bag for life. She needs radiotherapy, but they are hoping she will be ok. Kinda shook me up as I have known her since I was 5 years old. After dinner with girls I went to visit my parents as felt I needed to see them. My best friend is being very practical about it (I can't beleive she didn't tell us before, but that's the way she is).
I'm not a believer, but if any of you I'd appreciate it if you could say a little prayer for her. Thanks
Night all
