Ok guys quick update (sooner than expected).

Basically it is unlikely the date is going to happen....he hasn't replied to my messages and i can't get in touch with him. Don't fancy turning up only to be stood up (meeting him there) so at the moment i am not going tonight unless he contacts me first.

All that worrying for nothing lol....oh well its his loss :)

That is *exactly* what happened to me a few months ago. First date in years. I went around telling everyone and discussing what to wear, texted him 24 hours before to ask for meet up time etc. and heard absolutely zilch.

Finally texted again at 5.15pm on date night only to be told he would have to give it a miss due to being skint. Pah. He would've known that at the time I texted him the night before dontcha think?

However, I have had a boyfriend years ago who never used to ring me til about an hour or two before the planned date time to make proper arrangements. However this was after the first date.

So I haven't bothered since the above, but I have learned not to go around telling everyone as I then had to go around telling them that to all intents and purposes I was stood up. I do not want to experience those sympathetic looks again. :rotfl: I can laugh about it now.

Oh, by the way. Same bloke, having stood me up..... proceeded to text me at around 2am the same morning asking 'fancy some fun?'. My response was 'get real'. :D

    Thanks Guys :j

Im really not that bothered to be honest. If he can't be bothered to reply to my messages then he really isn't the guy for me.

I hadn't really told anyone about the date so no embarrassment there thankfully.

Got my outfit sorted for the next date at least!!

OOPS......he has just text me asking where i am. Looks like he has turned up for the date after all. I've suggested we meet another night if he still wants to (but probably wont now) but i do feel bad for standing him up now!

well its his fault he didn't inform you that the date is on. i agree that you should have tried to at least come to the date late but nevertheless if you're not ready then it won't be a great night for you.
    anyway hope there's a next time. :)
