Hi, my daughter booked a flight for her and her fiance on Ryanair a couple of months ago to join me and her mum on holiday.
Sadly, today (almost inevitably) they broke up and that's that. So, checking the website and it appears that flights can't be altered and no refund is available. She paid by credit card.
Is that really it? £200 down the pan despite the flight being 3 weeks way?
Any advice or guidance much appreciated.

She agreed that she had read the terms and conditions of her booking, and that is the way "No Frills" airlines work.
You can apply for the passenger duty tax back.....but they charge an admin fee and that is probably more than the tax amount.
She could of course go on her own, then only one ticket is lost, she could of course ask her ex to pay.
The payment by credit card is inmaterial to this, and if she had travel insurance, that would not cover this scenario.0 -
Two hundred pounds is too much to lose. I suggest that she gets back with her ex so that they can make the most of their holiday. They can always break up again afterwards.0
