B/band provider

I, have cancelled my tv / b/band package with virgin ,got a letter thru post this morn from plusnet offering b/band + phone for £15 monthly for first 9 mths then £18.50 there after free calls eves/w/ends. also free router supplied i dont know anybody who has dealt with plusnet is service reliable and can i keep my original phone/no + what speed mb should i expect to obtain from them for that price cheers

Hi,checked sites you suggested very helpful thanks,i will give plusnet +other cheap providers a miss seems more trouble than there worth. Thanks again for replying

Plusnet are fine as a budget provider, assuming you are on a Market 3 exchange and so can get the discounted rate.
However, if you are on VM cable service then you have no other options-you will have to install a BT-based line first in order to use any ADSL broadband provider.
There are no other cable suppliers than VM.
