Hi all
Just after some advice. I recently bought a part for my computer over the telephone, I was told it was going to cost £41 on the phone but when the invoice came (a few days after I had received the part) it was for £72!!! They had charged me £51 for the part, £10 p&p which they didnt mention on the phone and £10 vat which again they failed to mention on the phone!! I have looked for this part on the internet, since receiving it and £41 would have been over the odds for it but at the time Dell had put me on to them so I thought they must be a good company. I phoned up to say I didnt want it and they kept saying they would ring back and didnt. I have now tried saying it was a xmas present that wasnt correct to see if that would make any headway but again they keep saying I need to speak to customer services and they are always busy when i phone and never get back to me.
Any ideas what I can do or where I stand?? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks
Matt

Under Distance Selling Regulations, you have a right to return goods for up to 7 days after receiving them. However, I think that postage costs don't have to be covered.0

Did you pay by credit card? If so phone your credit card company and dispute the transaction. With a "cardholder not present" transaction, the onus is on the retailer to prove that you agreed to the charge.
What should happen is that the charge should be refunded to you credit card, and the retailer should make arrangements for the return of the item.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.

Thanks for the replies. I paid for it on my debit card but will get in contact with them. Thanks again0
